Hello ,may somebody can help me to identify the enginenumber from a rare 1925 Harley Davidson IOE 61ci .It is an Export Model with electrical system and rear and sidecar Brake.
the number is 25FHA and 3 numbers.Thanks lot forward for any Information.

Jörg, welcome to the forum. I received your PM. For 1925 models doesn’t the F usually indicate magneto? Wouldn’t an electric model have the letter J instead of F?

Street model FHA? Can you elaborate on ‘street model’ please.

I can’t tell much about the engine number from that photo. Can you post a clearer picture. And when you say ‘25FHA and 3 numbers’ do you mean the sequence portion only has three numbers in total, including what appears to be a 5?

I haven’t done a lot of research on 1920s engine differences but the R-H side looks more like early/mid-22 or earlier? Do the cases have belly numbers? If so can you post partial photos of both of them.

Does the frame have a number? It may be stamped on the top tube or on a small plate that is attached to the top tube.

Does the transmission case have an ID number? It may be stamped at the back.

Here a close picture.The numbers not like the factory production once.But they did like this.Very hard to get information about that.I am starting getting confused about that research (

 

Just known that this 1925 Engine Case is like the JE 1924 one ( same case like this) This one is a export model ,with Elektrik,delieverd to a Munich Dealer ( Logo is on front Fender).Still do not have the framenumber,owner told me also starts with FHA.This is a Street Legal Version owner told me ( they build just a little quantity of that model ).Here some more pictures.
