Looks good,Change the fluids and battery, Are you aware if the cylinders were "fogged" before storing? If that's the rubber it sat on for 15+ years you had better replace that too.

thanks, actually did a lot of work this summer on bike, it needed some tic like they all do, went thru it very thoroughly, I oiled cylinders and let sit for a 2-3 weeks while i put new rubber on (michelins) did bearings, rebuilt swingers with new parts, new starter, new coil and wires, battery, fixed a lot of wiring issues, new points and condenser, checked advance and tuned it up, new tranny seal, then took it for a road test, seems to be working very well....my file with receipts of money spent is getting thick lol

Huskyking,
I just inherited my dad's 1975 Superglide and it was sitting in his garage since 1982. I'm wondering what your bike looked like in the before pictures because cosmetically it's looking really nice now. Any money saving tips, suggestions, or "I wish I knew that before" would really be a great help. I've started making a parts needed list and have been shopping prices on Dennis Kirk. The actual reason I was on the forums today was because I was looking for real opinions on the Michelin tires by people that have some miles on them. I guess that I really lucked out here because you have the identical type of bike and I see that you are a DIY'er as well.
Thanks,
