Question Choke question...

I got a '99 WG and when I start it cold I give it two twists of the throttle and pull the choke out before firing it up. It fires up fine but it pulls the choke back in and if I don't hold it out, it dies.

I leave for work every morning around 5am and the bike is loud enough to wake my kids and the neighbors so I don't let it warm up, I fire it up and go but I have to hold the choke out until I get some speed to maintain RPMs.

Any ideas to keep it from sucking back in instantly?

You should be able to tighten the plastic nut on the choke by hand a little to increase the friction and it will hold the **** out. Be careful if you have to use pliers or something, the plastic nut can be easily broken. You do not have to tighten it very much. Mine will stay out but then pull itself in as the bike warms up.

Thanks, my sporty pulls back in once the bike is warm so I haven't encountered this before.
