Default Looking For A Good Starting Point

Hope I can get some advice. 2000 Softail 88 c.i. for now. S.E. hi-flow intake (old style) V and H. Straight shots, installing Andrews 48 cams this week. I bought a Mikuni 45 from a buddy for a song, getting the rebuild kit. Based on those simple mods, what size jets to get this beast dialed in? At least a good starting point. Thanks in advance.

I'd consider trading that for a 42. Your stock manifold won't work with a 45, and it's more carb than you need for sure. If you insist on running it, throw in a 165 main, 50 squirter, 20 pilot and start there. Read the tuning manual.

Never mind on the manifold, I missed that you changed it

Thanks.realize that is a lot of carb for the bike, but my next step is throwing the 95 c.i. kit over the next winter unless I find a really good deal on some ported heads during this season (I don't want the downtime waiting for machining and I am limited on funds after buying the bike a few days ago). I was wondering between the 160 and the 165.
