I inherited a Mikuni 44mm VM carb. I would like to install this carb on my 1998 Sporty that is a stroked 1250. Doesn't look like this carb has any throttle linkage. Newbie question, but where do I start and where can I find the parts I need?

 

A simple google search will yield a zillion outfits selling cables for that type carb.

You are not going to like that carb as much as the one that came on the bike originally. The VM carb is an old type round slide carb with no accelerator pump. The CV carb is much more suitable for your engine.

 

its too big first of all and even if you find a manifold i doubt it - you still wont get it to work in that stroker of yours WOW 1250 cc stroker WOW
