I just rebuilt my S and S super e carb this weekend and after re installing the carb the throttle and return cable are not snapping back into position. The butterfly is snapping back properly on the carb when not installed and without the throttle/return cable connected. Any suggestions for this first timer are greatly appreciated.

 

Was there a problem with the throttle cables before you took the carb off and reinstalled it or did it start after you reinstalled it?

 

check for pinched/sticking cables/grip, or lube your cables.

 

No the cables were working fine before the removal of the carb. Started when I put te re-built carb back in.
