What happens if it is installed upside down?

You'll be able to do wheelies. J/K, the needle jet holder can't be installed upside down. The needle jet holder is the small tube with tiny holes that the main jet gets screwed into. You mean the needle jet? If so, I've never had that out, but from the parts catalog, it looks like it would have a slot in it for a small screwdriver meaning that end would go towards you as you installl it, but that's just conjecture from looking at the exploded view. The part itself does look symmetrical which could cause some confusion, looks like it may even have a hex shape on it. I've had my carb apart 5 times in the last 2 months and have not even noticed the needle jet. Sadly, as I'm trying to fine tune my carb, I'll probably have the bowl off in the next few days and I'll check mine and get back on here with a proper repsonse if no one else chimes in.

I ment the needle jet. I went ahead and took my float bowl off and pulled the main jet and jet holder so the needle jet could come out the bottom. Made sure I had installed right side up with the bevel up. I had taken the carb apart yesterday and cleaned everything up.

Just one of those things that was bugging me. Thanks
