Yesterday I had a problem and to fix it I had to remove my fuel sending unit. when I took it apart I did not look to see where the float was positioned in relation to the wiring tube for the fuel gague.Either I was supposed to go behind and around it or to th inside of the tube. Any how I got it back together and went on a test ride and she ran beautifully. so after a brief 2 hour ride I stopped to fuel her back up and realizied my fuel gauge would only go up to like a quarter of a tank even though she is full. so my question is simply what is the proper procedure for installing the fuel sending unit on a 2001 fuel injected deuce. I am almost sure that my problem lies in the way I positioned the float.. Considering everything else is working properly. Hope somebody can tell me how it is suppoosed to go before I go back into it this morning....
