Default just tuned using the sticky suggestion a few questions

Ok i just tuned put a #46 pilot jet and got the #4 washers put two under the needle i measured the 2 washers they are actually .059 turned the idle mixture out 2 1/2 turns and man it runs great no more fealing like its stumbling at 75 anymore is the .059 gonna hurt me? Also I have the stage 1 se air filter with stock headpipes and stock mufflers that have been gutted but have some sort of performance baffle in them. The question is i am going to put a set of rush slip ons on will this still work for me? Or do I then need to put a bigger main jet in. thanks

Do you have an 883 or a 1200? I think I have a 48low and 170Main in my 883 with SE aircleaner and slipons. I did get an EZ adjust for my pilot.http://www.harley-performance.com/ez-just.html

Look at your plugs, they'll tell you if you're too lean. 48 pilot seems way rich for an 883, I ran a 45 in my 2002 1200S. I assume we're talking about a CV carb?

it may be a 45, it's been 3yrs since I jetted and the ol memory ain't what it used to be.... It's whatever comes with the drag Spec.jet kit for a 883.

ok got the rush slip ons with 2" baffle sounds great not too loud and bike is running perfect close to 45 mpg the 46 pilot with the 2 washers was what the bike needed to open it up and make it run like it should

ok folks been riding with my setup for about 700 miles runs great getting around 43 mpg the only thing is after its warmed up i have to most of the time hit the throttle twice and hold it open just a very little bit and it fires right up. The spark plugs color looks good. does this sound normal? I am a harley virgin so im learning as i go.
