Default Low speed low power hesitation

I have a stock, low mileage 91 E-Glide 80ci . During a run last week I began to experience a low power idle hesitation. Pronounced mostly in low gears low rpm and slow speeds, however, it also will demonstrate the miss and hesitation when letting off of the throttle at cruising speeds. Idle is solid as well as cruising at hiway speeds, both smooth. The symptoms can be greatly reduced by pulling the choke about 1/3 of the way out. I have replaced the sparkplugs with no change. I am seeking some advice before I begin any further corrective measures. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

If you have to ride with the choke out, that would make me believe the carb may need cleaning and/or adjusting, espicially if it ran fine prior to last week. Most likely, you knew that much...

If the symptoms are reduced by pulling out the enrichener it's, more than likely, telling you that you have developed a lean situation. You're richening up the lean situation by adding fuel via the enrichener. When was the last time you checked the intake seals? Carb could also be starting to get gunked up and need a cleaning. A peice of crud could have made its way through the tank, hoses, bottom of the bowl and got hung up in the carb. Start with the easy crap first and make sure your seals aren't starting to leak.

Crok and 2000fiveoh, Thank you for your input, I have a couple of days off and will start checking the seals then cleaning it out. I does seem likely that something could be lodged in the jet. Sometimes it helps to remind us to use the KISS principal. Thanks again, and I'll be back to let ya know how it worked.
