Default problem with cold weather

A brief history, I let my bike sit around 2 weeks(03 fxst carbed) and after that it started acting like it was out of gas after about 15 miles in below freezing weather. I thought it was moisture in the gas so I added so seafoam to take care of it. I rode it in 50 degree weather for 70 miles and it ran perfect so I thought it was fixed. Well this morning at 30 degrees after about 10 miles it started skipping and acting like it was starving for fuel. I have to keep the throttle cracked for it to stay running and it still skips taking off. I am at a loss as to why it does this only when cold. It has se pipes, jet kit and k&n.

The fuel is probably freezing in the line. You might want to try H-D winter fuel conditioner.

Try to find non ethenol gas. Some Shell stations carry it around here.

Sounds like it's a little lean. Might need to fatten up the ldle mixture. I would try adjusting the screw out a half turn and see if that helps.,,

Does it still do this if you run the enrichener out a ways? When I first put the current carb on my bike it was around 30 degrees out and it had similar issues. I pulled the enrichener out and it ran fine. That pretty much told me I was running way lean. On a warmer day the problem wasn't as noticeable. Went up a size on the low jet and one washer under the slide needle fixed it. I may need to tweak it again when the 100 degree days pick up this summer, but for the cold weather periods it seems to like the extra fuel. Just an idea....
