Adjusting Choke **** Tension

Here's a pic that will show you the tension adjustment if your choke does not stay out when you set it. Don't over tighten it or you will damage the unit, only tighten enough to effect a difference. If enough tension isn't available then replacement of the cable is needed or you can try loosening the 11/16 nut behind the bracket a little and tightening the front nut pictured.

Yeah he will probably want to spray some pledge on it or maybe put blue Loctite to hold it in place. Clothes Pin only if you cannot adjust it correctly

In general I prefer anti seize to loctite
