yep.... funny thing is that a cap was on it when this all started my trouble shooting? guess it blew of my last ride after jet swap. I also have a vacuum leak on the butterfly shaft. the felt washer on it
but I was surprised that the two intake seals near the jugs were still soft and rubbery, and not hard and brittle due the heat.. all looked good there

Went back to the original jets, bike hiccuped and shut off making a turn in a busy intersection.. Tried four different jet /pilot combos? There aren't any exhaust leaks, and the intake gaskets have been replaced twice,and tested for leaks.
The only leaks I can find are on the butterfly shaft, on both sides of the carburetor.

A friend of mine has one on his Low Rider and loves it, it was on the bike when he bought it. They don’t mention clearance issues in the instructions maybe someone that has installed an HSR 42 will chime in.
