Replacing plugs tomorrow.. Haven't pulled them yet, no leak at the exhaust ports or on the pipes.. Hit the intake very good with cleaner right before I did the seal on the carb to the intake, it was leaking on the top? Like the carburetor was pushed down.. Going to tweak the carb again tomorrow and do some miles..

Long story short! Bike hates cold weather...
I know a 200 is the main jet and 50 pilot, so by backing it down might it help with the colder weather?
50 degree day here mild issues, tonight 35 on ride home burps hicups and farts all the way home..
Looking to go 195 to 190 main and 45 to 48 pilot?

There has to be something else going on with your engine... I run 48/195 jetting in a stock CV40 on Reaper, and her engine is 98 ci, 10.5:1 compression, Wood TW6-HG cams, head work, etc... A long time ago, a shop installed a 200 main jet in the carb (it had a 46 pilot jet at the time), and it ran so rich, that it washed the cylinders and wore out the rings, and put the cylinders out of round.
You ever have your AFR checked with that jetting?

jets can go by drill sizes
it is better to go to the rich side than lean when you get a tough dog but not all is lost
you can make your own jet from a smaller one, do it all the time. you must drill straight and very important, restore the lead in bevel. make a mistake, not all is lost, fill the hole with silver solder and start over.
remember the carbs with adjustable jets?? time forgotten

I'm not 100 % knowledge about bikes, but in discussions with techs there they scare me... One dealership I don't think I would let them change my plugs...

Thanks GKR, honestly hadn't thought about it sucking air there.. Tomorrow when I ride if it burps I'll put my finger over the hole and see if there's a idle difference?
I took my old carburetor which had the 195 and 48 jets in it and turned in the air mixture screw, counted the turns and duplicated it on the one on my bike currently..
If I can not get a grip on this... S&S or mikuni will be on it by summer

I only read from post #12 down so.... REW, you've not mentioned what cam, pipes you're running. For now I will say 45/175 is plenty for a stock cam. 48/190 is about max for most bolt-in performance cams unless it's had head work. Does it have a stock type needle or are you working with Dynojet needle and jets?
Symptoms in post #12 sound like possible slide diaphragm leaking and post #17 coughing off idle could be deficient accelerator pump squirt. Both guesses are assuming you have no intake leaks, VOES is working and engine warmed up.
