Default Evo carb tuning with Thundercone slip ons

Greetings! Anybody been through the process of dialing in or properly jetting their CV carb once installing Thunderheader's Thundercone mufflers. Put them on yesterday and the bike sounds great but a LOT of decel popping. Would love to shorten the process of dialing it in if somebody's has already been down this road. '96 FLHTC stock 80" no other mod's. Thanks in advance!

I`d double check for exhaust leaks first.

These Thundercones are simply Thunderheader's slip on mufflers for a dresser. the header pipe was not removed and no popping until the test ride with the new mufflers were installed...?

Understood.
I`d still check the muffler flanges and tightness of headers at exhaust ports.
Only take a minute

I've not run those mufflers and with not knowing what stock jets you now have, my advice is you'll need a minimum of a 45 low jet and 180 main. Of course you'll need to drill out the plug so you can adjust the idle mixture screw.

That's pretty much what I'm looking at. Called the one Harley shop out of three that was open today. They don't stock either the 45 or the 180...… It's a mail order world anymore! Thanks though!

Yeah, dealerships aren't a good source for jets anymore, though most do keep emergency type stuff like bowl gaskets and slides.

If you've not already ordered, I've recently been using jets-r-us (.com) because they have genuine Keihin jets and they're pretty close to you so should get them quick.
