S&S super E Carbon build up/ smoke
1984 FLHTC 48,100 miles....I posted a thread in evo classic models about my bikes smoking issue and received a lot of helpful information about possible valve seal leaks but was advised to start a thread on here as well. My bike smokes out of the mostly right side exhaust “stock with rear & front cylinder connected” soon after it warms up. I can shut the bike off for a few minutes, restart and after a few seconds it starts again. I cant tell if the smoke is blue or white but it does smell like typical exhaust smell with burning nose and eyes. My timing is good. It has an S&S super E with a .70 main jet and .0295 intermediate. Stock pipes with baffles removed and a hypercharger air cleaner “for now” with the vacuum line removed and butterflies open. Have an S&S stealth on the way. Inspection in the spark plug holes show lots of carbon build up so I ran a tank with MMO in it and these are the plugs afterwards. The pic looks like the plug is wet, but it’s actually sooty and those “shiny” looking spots on the right one are where the black is nicked off. If that makes sense..Any advice is much appreciated.

Yes, at idle. Sorry I forgot to mention that..it can choke out a garage pretty fast..When I give it a quick rev, it’ll blow the smoke away and clear up for a split second upon returning with idle.

Update... yesterday I put on a new pair of slip ons with baffles that can also be removed “recommend in previous thread” and it ran nice but still smoked..today my S&S stealth air cleaner came in the mail, so I yanked the hyper charger and installed my new air cleaner..took it for a few mile ride and barely made it home..It soaked the filter and now with the filter off the carb spits gas out with every rev. Even if i have the accel pump screw out just a half of a turn. Should i remove the baffles?
