Default Idle Enrichment valve

I took out the idle enrichment valve on my 97 FLHT EVO and noticed the end looked rough around the needle.
Can anyone tell me if there is a removable rubber gasket in there or is that damage mean the valve needs to be replaced?

If you are referring to the plunger that is attached to the "choke" cable, parts finder shows NO rubber parts

It's called a "starter valve" and is no doubt the most overlooked piece in these carburetors. One that doesn't seal properly will cause all kinds of weird issues.

Just replace it. Part# 27583-88 About $9.00 at the dealer
