Default CV 40 to CV44--Manifold the same??

Hope this isn't a dumb question BUT I am thinking of going from a CV40 to a CV 44 . Can I use the manifold for the CV40 with the CV44 or does that CV44 take a larger in diameter manifold??

I have the SE 44mm carb and it does not use the stock manifold. SE sells one that is specially made for the SE carb and it works with no issue.

why on earth go from a 40cv to another cv carb? Ditch the cv and go mikuni HSR 42,45 or 48 depending on your needs.

Curious, why the need to increase the bore size ? How many cubes are you running ? If you're running out of fuel, Wood Performance has a kit to improve the flow and capacity in the existing carb without re-configuring everything. If you have cruise, add that to the mix for a carb swap. Will you be tuning it by ear or has a shop dialed it in?

This is my 80" build with a Wood modified 40 CV with the High flow fuel kit. 86hp /92 tq, you can get good performance from a 40 CV without having to swap carbs. You can see the date of the runs (2007), it's been trouble free and the only time it had to be touched was when I dumped the Thunderheaders. The bike performs well and @ 5000' running in the Hills I'm averaging in the high 40's.

"05 Fatboy---95" screamin eagle cast pistons, Andrews 37 cams, Cometic head gaskets, Big Boyz street heads, DTT ignition.
In talking to others, I think I will go with the Mikuni HSR 42. Understand it gives better throttle response BUT a little concerned about what I hear about bad mileage with Mikuni. Peeps say the CV44 might be a bit much fot my build.

bad mpg from a mikuni is because it wasn’t tuned properly. Most likely incorrect needle, position of the needle and pilot too big.
