Were you ever able to find the float bowl gasket? Is there a mfg and part number available? I've been searching everywhere I can to locate the bowl gasket. Harley doesn't show anything.
Thank you

No dice so far. Been nasty here so never went up to my local Harley dealer to see if they could find anything.
I got a few Permatex options I may play around with while the carb is off and dry and see if I can jimmy my own gasket up.
I'd prefer to have the correct gasket so will still pursue that path, but I'm preparing for the worst.

Had the same issue with my old dirt bike, but was able to track one down for that carb bowl, so grabbed a few of them. Fingers crossed I can find one for this. If I do, I'll post where for everyone else (after I grab 2) :-)

Thank you Brother. If any of the shops I have searching come up with anything I'll post as well. The new permatex permashield may be the next option since it's fuel resistant.

This may very well solve our problem. I'll know when it arrives next week. As some others have said, these carbs were used on 84-2001 Yamaha snowmobiles. Ebay, parts.com, partzilla, mfgsupply.com and Amazon have them in stock.

Yamaha OEM 8g6-14984-00-00.

Please post back if it works. Thanks for the heads-up!

Hawk45,
You are good to go with that part number.

Just posting this so it will help others in the same situation.

Gotta give all the credit to 80FXWG-rider for finding a source for this carb seal. Nice find!!! If anybody has the Harley part number to this seal/gasket, post it.

Now that 80FXWG-rider provided us with a working part number, I've been able to find carb rebuild kits based on that gasket part#. Do you think the carb rebuild kits would be interchangeable?
