Could lubing throttle cables (from the top) result in lube entering the carb?
Need to lube my throttle cables and was going to shoot the lube in from the handgrip assembly but watched a video some guy saying that I'd have to also disconnect the cables down by the carb or else cable lube could get in the carb?
I look at the setup and the cables next to the carb only open and close that one piece (whatever it's called) I don't see any opening for lube to actually get inside the carb.

NO! And use a non oil lubricant, either silicon or graphite. Any "oil" will attract dust and clog-up the cables, hold water and cause corrosion in the long run. The wire cable runs inside a plastic tube. May be teflon.
Some people think that an oil base lubricant will keep the cables from rusting.

I have used light oil to lube throttle cables and clutch cables for 50 years, never had any problems.
The cables are well shielded from dust and dirt by the housings.
Some cables are not supposed to be lubed, because it can damage the inside coating of the housing.

Lets think about the possibility that , you lube your cable excessively and uit runs all the way through to the end where it gets sucked in through the possible vacuum at the throttle shaft. Id say it has to be alot of lube and a very worn throttle sfat bor causeing one hell of a leak.
Physically possible? maybe but highly unlikely.
