Default S&S Carb overkill ?

Hi my bike has S&S shorty G carb
there’s also a rinehart true dual system
screaming eagle rpm module
and S&S 510 cams inside

Im going next week for adjusting the carb on the dyno

Is the shorty G overkill or wil it be fine?
Or should I start looking for an shorty E

thanks

Ummm what's the displacement? Head work ect? First guess is super G may be a bit much if not 100 inch or more.

Anything under 110" a G is too big, while it will tune there will always be flat spots somewhere in the RPM range and milage will be lower than you want.

Start with the engine VIN to find out what you have and go from there.

i ran a super G triple xxx worked carb for a season. Putting a cubic inch limit on a carb is nonsense. Way too many variables to do that imho. 77CI and it ran like a top from idle to redline.

So with my specs they should be able to adjust the carb and the bike would run fine?
Even if the boring is OEM

S&S shorty G carb
rinehart true dual system
screaming eagle rpm module
S&S 510 cams inside

yes, they should if they know what they are doing. It’s a lot of carb, but it will be just fine.
