The extra carberator part
Just tried to referbish my cv40 carberator. It is for my 2003
, 1200cc Sportster. Everything went well got it completely clean and reassembled and then found that 'extra' part that I do not know where it goes.
The exploded view of this cv40 carberator shows the part- lists it as part #32 and calls it a collar. But unlike all the other little parts in this diagram, there are no dotted lines pointing to where this part fits on or in the carberator?
Can anyone please help me?

I will try to explain it best I can, hopefully we are talking about the same collar as there are 2 listed on the parts fiche.
The top cover for the carb uses 3 shouldered bolts and one skinny non-shouldered one. That collar is for the skinny bolt that goes through the top into the cable guide. it takes up the slack for the thinner bolt and makes it "the same" as the 3 shouldered bolts, make sense?
