Default TC88 high idle when warm

So this evening I took my new to me 03 Fatboy out for a ride. I noticed at a stoplight that it was idling fast. Next stop same thing. When I got home I let it cool down and started it up again. Idle seemed normal and as it warmed up idle climbed. No performance mods have been done to the bike. My first thought is some dry cracked rubber letting air in due to the age of the bike. I pulled air cleaner cover off and the filter is almost black. Decided it was late enough and I should stop there. I’ll get a new filter tomorrow. Tell me if I’m on the right track thinking I have an air leak.

Could be, idle cable too tight. or throttle cable.
