Default super E. idle variance

I have a Super E on my 98 Superglide and the idle lowers when I move it to level from the jiffy stand. Is this a common occurrence or is there a tuning adjustment that can be made to the float to prevent this? I've owned alot of carbuerated bikes n don't remember this happening . It's not an extreme variance but it's there. Anybody w experience I'd appreciate your input.

Ive got a super e. Havent ever noticed that- mind you i usually dont idle on the stand either. Maybe your throttle cables are pulling tight when on the stand- artificially raising idle speed- and when you straighten your bars- the cable slacks a bit and puts it back to normal idle detent.

I thought that could be it but they really aren't tight. I can turn the bars side to side on the stand or upright w no variance, my suspicion is something to do w the fuel level from leaning to upright.

Update on the idle variance,it was a worn plug wire. The wire had rubbed on the horn bracket to the point it was affecting the ignition when leaning on the stand the wire had more pressure on it evidently. Wrapped the wire w electrical tape n shrink wrapped it. No more idle variance......go figure.

Glad you figured it out! It goes that way sometimes- you think its one thing....and it turns out its something else entirely!
Happy trails!
