Does the ruling in the US about warranties effect us in Canada ?

I want to put on a tuner . But I have three years left on my warranty .

 

The FTC ruling in US did not really effect anything here. All it did was require HD to change some wording and educate dealers.
In the end nothing has changed. Lot of wishful thinking going on but if you check the facts. same old same old..

Warranties are governed differently in every country.

 

I figured it would be a separate fight here .

 

Good question. I would suggest contacting the warranty administrator at your local dealership.

 

I would say if the dealer wasn't the one that installed the ad on, then your warranty would be invalid. You never want to get yourself in a position that you've given them an out.

 

From my experience there is plent of room in the warranty . Once you get to know your dealer .
