Default seat break-in

I have a C&C leather solo with about 800 miles on it now. I can hardly make it 100 miles before needing to stop. I'm going to try and stick it out because I love the look. How long does is typically take?

Leather does not stretch like vinyl making for a firmer seat (your stock HD seat is vinyl). May take a bit longer to get used to.

My experience is depends on how old your butt is. That's whats breaking in--not the seat. I had to make a pad for mine and its as old as dirt.

I probably have 400 miles on my leather solo. It is breaking in nicely. No complaints here.

My leather seat took 500-550 miles to break in. Based on conversations I've had with other riders, my experience is fairly typical. Sorry to say, but I think that if the seat is still bothering you at 800 miles, it's never going to feel right.

I know this is an old thread.
I also have a C&C seat.Big Solo in leather.I go about the same distance as you and then I have to stop. But I can tell I'm sinking a little more as I ride and can go longer. The stock seat got comfy around 1500 miles.
