My First belt finally gave out with just over 8000 miles on it. It gave me just enough audible warning to say "WTF is that noise" and pull over. 8000 is not bad in my opinion... Think I'll change every 5000 to avoid being stuck on the side of the road again

You were stuck on the side of the road?? I had mine go out about a month ago too. I started hearing that "click click" noise indicating the procharger sprocket was slipping due to belt teeth being sheared off. I was able to ride mine home though. My procharger actually stopped spinning while i was riding home...lol. My bike got really quiet and I didn't know what was going on, then i looked down and noticed the procharger wasn't spinning...

You should still be able to ride it home though...won't run the greatest but it will save you from having to tow it home

When the belt started to go, the clicking was pretty loud and I could literally feel through the foot pegs. Was pretty sure it was the belt but decided to play it safe.

yeah, that's where i could feel mine as well. if it does go out you won't hurt anything by riding back home. Just make sure you take your primary cover completely off to clean all of the sheared off teeth that are inside!
