I have the splash cover it will stop the water from getting in but you play hell getting it back out!!thought about drilling two small holes and put bolts thru so I maybe able to get out without screwdriver.anybody have good answer???
I concur it is tight fit. I've heard other guys saying it flys out losing it on highway. I'd thought about drilling small hole installing a screw with small eye hook then attaching landyard to bars etc. A eyehook may give you something to get leverage on to pull out easier.

LOL. . Don't drill holes in your rain cover goose! Kinda defeats the purpose. Take a small amount of vaseline and spread it around the edges before you install it next time. Mine was never that hard to get out. I pressed it in and pulled it out with my fingers.
Just squeeze it. I put bottom in first, tight against HU, then push down on top as I am pressing in. Removal in reverse, pushing down on top while pulling out. Only had it about a month but has been easy in/ out for me every time.....
