Default Infinity Kappa 62.11i setting

For anyone running these speakers, did you set the tweeters at +3 or leave them flat at 0? How easy is it to make the adjustment, and how much difference in the sound?

The adjustment is simple, a push button on the tweeter. I run mine flat, any sound adjustment is done through my Sony HU.

I'm not sure what you mean by "focus"? The 62.11 tweeter is adjustable in a 360 degree circle to aim the tweeter, and the level is adjustable by way of the chrome button to switch from flat to +3db.

Look under "Large Soft Dome Tweeters"

Do you find you need to boost treble, or does it sound pretty good flat? Do you use the factory Infinity grills?

I'm running the 62.11s in my fairing, behind Hawg-Wired mesh grills. I also have a Hogtunes tweeter bar that I installed Infinity silk dome tweeters in, so I did not need to use the +3 setting on the 62.11s. I'm running a Sony HU, and use the "explode" eq setting, which gives a small treble increase but a greater boost down low. Sounds good to me, you need to try the speakers both ways and see which setting you like best. Unfortunately it's a PITA to switch the setting when mounted in the fairing, you need to dismount the speakers to get at the level button.

I'm running a set of Infiniti Kappa 62.11's behind mesh grills on my 14 SGS. You have to be careful, but I was able to change the setting by straightening out a large paperclip and poking it through the mess. Again, I say BE CAREFUL.

Totally agree with Poolboy they sound much better flat IMO. Of course I also have the Sony HU and tune them in the Xplode mode. Sounds dam good!
