What amp with stock speakers and HU?

stock speakers are REALLY crap... Why sticking with them when you do want to add an amp? add an amp (100-150), power lines (30 bucks I believe) and get speaker rings (20 bucks) and a couple of at least better than stock speakers (6.5 / 6.75").
there are people selling audio stuff on this forum on a continuous basis. look around in the classifieds here...
or PM me - I got some good speakers left here on the shelf (used but not abused).
amp: mmmhhh, most go with SS 4.520 (4 channel!) or RF PBR300x2 (2 channel) when "on a budget"... other options are there too like ARC, or BT (more expensive).
I would personally not go with hogtunes amp but again that is personal.
See other threads about guys doing audio over and over (improving) as they "made the wrong decisions" in the beginning. In the end they "all" regret it and wished they did it right the first time (would have saved money and time!)
I did a 2 step too, but went with 2 speakers first (RF 300x2) and then added 2 in the saddle bag lids (SS 4.520 amp and lost FM as many do with the SS).
For now I am done and happy.

I'm not even sure you can put an amp on the stock speakers. Of course the first amp I ever put on them was the Fosgate PBR300X2 and it blew the speakers all to hell in 30 seconds . . I wish I would have had the sense to ask somebody before I did that. . .lol Honestly, I don't know. Hopefully Nutz, Pioneer or GP will chime in.

Don't understand why you would go to the work of wiring in an amp and not replace the speakers with something better.
Your in there anyway, swapping the speakers is the easiest part, only another 15 minutes.
If your on a budget, get the RF PBR 300x2 for around $150.
And even if you get used, upgrade the speakers, you can get less expensive, still better than stock.
You are not going to be happy with the stock speakers with an amp and most likely cook the speakers.

you simply won't get clarity out of a cheap chines made speaker that boasts a whopping 25w RMS rating.
My suggestion is skip the amp for now. Get the best speakers you can afford to get instead. I highly recommend you take a look at the Infinity Kapp 62.11I speakers. Later on if you feel you need an amp, you're already set for speakers.
