I turned mine back on with no issues but understand that if the music is distorted turn it down!! Some songs may put more strain on the amp and it may clip. If the head unit and amp are dialed in correctly u should be fine in my opinion. Good luck!!!

Set your max volume at speed, NOT in the driveway! If you crank the volume when stopped the AVC will crank it even more when moving, possibly wrecking your speakers. If you set max volume at speed, the AVC will lower the volume when you come to a red light, like it should.

They ask you to turn off AVC so you could set your gains, etc, during install. Once you have everything installed, gains, bass, treble, set and are ready to ride you can turn it back on.

This is assuming you are using stock radio and just added amp & speakers.

I'm confused on how AVC works. Does AVC up the volume with increasing speed; or does it raise or retain the volume set at speed when you slow down/stop?

increases volume as you speed up and decreases it as you slow down
