You can certainly find a better 4 channel amp than the CVO stock amp and put it under the fairing. I have a Rockford Fosgate PBR 300x2 amp mounted to a Scott Edzall bracket under the fairing, but am considering replacing it with the new RF T-400x4ad amp and removing the CVO stock amp under the tourpak on my '08 CVO Ultra. I'm currently driving a pair of Polk MM651 fairing speakers with the PBB300x2 amp, and driving a pair of J&M 5.25 inch rear pod speakers with the CVO amp. I'd be interested in how you wire the amp up if you go that route.
