Default Metra 99-9600 Question

Finally got the kit in and this is what is included.

Do I need to purchase the separate Axxess ASWC kit? in order for it to work? I thought the kit would include everything I needed.

The cable you got in the kit allows you to easily connect to the HD harness AND to a separately purchased Axxess ACSW-1 unit without cutting wires. One note: you WILL have to either cut or (in my case) remove the pink/white wire from the left hand control plug (the tan plug that the left (clutch) side controls run to) and ground that wire. For reference, it's pin #9 on that connector. I pushed it out of the wire-block and added a length of wire to it to run it to ground, though you could also cut it just behind the wire connector as well (this would be on the HANDLEBAR side of the connector, not the fairing side connection/wire). UltraNutZ posted the instructions that might be more helpful than what came in the package from Metra in another thread about this kit.

I also did NOT need the spacers they supplied. The screws in the kit are also a smaller hex-head than the factory 3/16" allen, so be aware of that as well.
