Thinking of getting the Biketronics 7.1" speakers for my 10 Ultra Limited. These would be just the fronts but wondering...$450 for Biketronic amp or go with the $152 Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 ??? That big of a difference ???

bhibbert80...What else did you need besides just the speakers and the amp and adapters which come with the speakers to install this unit ???
I had some 10gauge wire laying around that was terminated with a fuse holder from an older car amp install. I used that for power wire and used about a 15-20" piece for the ground cable. Attached it to the front brake line bracket right above the front fender and below the fairing. Thats it. Using UltraNutz detailed instructions, it was a very simple install.
EDIT: I also picked up some polyfil from walmart to stuff around the speakers... Forgot to put it in when installing the first time. I'd recommend doing this as others do too. Definitely helps with the sound. I think you'll be happy with this setup.... Much louder than the stock speakers and I can turn them way up with no distortion and still hear them pretty well at 70mph on the highway.

I suggest calling, ask for you're HDForum member discount, also helps if you are/were military.
Ask about their 2180 & 7.1's combo package. I love mine, now.
Most go the fosgate amp route but I personally found it a little weak pushing the 4 ohm speakers. It is light years better than stock and impresses in the driveway but is a bit lacking on the road at speed. Don't get me wrong you can hear it. But if you want to REALLY rock it you will want more than 125 Watts. The BT amp will push 180 at 4 ohm. I just recently done 2 fosgate 7.1 titan installs and customers were happy but I would prefer a little more umph..
I just installed the same system last night. It wasnt hard at all. You will also need some 16 G wire and preferred connectors. And velcro or whatever means you are using to mount the amp.
Golfinds...Thx for info..I bought this kit...Rockford Fosgate RFK10 10-gauge amplifier power wiring kit....I take it the 16 G wire is for the speakers ?? btw How ya like your Fatcat ???

Yes the 16 is for the speakers. Love my fatcat. Loud as you know what when you jump on it but mellows out at cruising speeds. I had to add the ghost pipe because it just seemed out of balance to me.
