Default Fosgate PBR 300x2 install question

I am about to install ny PBR 300x2 and ordered a RF install kit...I ordered 10 gauge but recieved 8 gauge.

My question is has anyone used 8 gauge and will it hurt anything to use it?

I would imagine that the thickest gauge wire would be the best option as far as power flow and overheating.

Thanks for the help

Only issue I foresee is cramming it into the wire trough under the tank. I had a fun time with 10ga.

I would think the 8g wire might be tough to squeeze into the power block on the amp. Good luck

I'm gonna be replacing a defective Arc amp with a PBR300x2 in the next couple weeks. I'll be going the high speaker output route. Was/is their a preferred method for connecting the accessory on switch wiring?

not needed on the 300x2. it will turn off and on as it senses voltage on the speaker outputs of the headunit.
