Default pin removal from 35 pin connector

hello fellow enthusiasts

can someone please tell me how to remove a pin from the 35 pin connector located at the back of the radio

Most all these pins have a small U shaped cut in them and the inner U is slightly raised. Push in from the wire side on the wire slightly and slide a small long dulled needle in from that side and it will hold the tab down and then pull lightly on the wire and it will pull the pin out. They make a special tool for it but it's not required. Just be gentle. I will post a picture shortly of the pin. See the retainer tab on the orange wire?

JoeN.. if you have a service manual for your bike, look in the back appendix, Appendix A Connector Repair. it even gives you pics which us guys are prone to comprehend better. :-)
