Default installing a 2012 HK in a 05 ultra problems with AVC

Hello all, I installed a 2012 HK radio in my 05 Ultra Classic. I bought the 35 pin connector and repinned it. Everything works great but the speed control. Anyone know the secret to make the AVC work? It came with the Radio Sound radio from factory. Rear speakers work as well as the rear controls. Thanks for any replies.

Radio needs to be reprogrammed.
On the 05, it can be done at the user level.
Give us a call today and we'll walk you through it

gotta love that support!

OP just so you know, the 12 radio is set for a digital signal input for AVC from the speed sensor, whereas the 05 bike has an analog speed sensor. Simple setting Tony will help you to set.

Thanks Tony...

Just some clarification...

The 04 and 05 bikes were digital, just not J1850 like the 06-13, which is why you can reprogram it without the need for re-flashing.

03 and older were analog and requires the radio to be flashed
