Bit the bullet and bought me a quality system
I've been crying on this side of the forum for a long time about not having a good system. I cheaped out and had a local audio place install the Polk line of DB651's, DB691 and PBR300x4. Man, that system sucked, big time.
After crying to UltraNutz and my good friend sanman4ever, I just broke down and bought the following:
BT Titan II 7.1 for fairing;
BT Titan II 6.5" for the lowers;
Pioneer TSD-6902R in the lids;
PBR300x2 to drive the fairing and lower speakers;
PBR300x2 to drive the lids;
Sony MEX-M70BT headunit;
Biketronics radio install kit.
(Oh, I've also had the Hogtunes tweeters previously installed).
This setup cost me a serious penny but I'm not even going to think about it. I'm not an audio set up guy, so I'll take it to a local place for the hook up. And fortunately, Amazon has agreed to take back all of the parts that I previously bought (Polk crap and PBR crap).
Lesson here, if ya' gonna invest in a stereo system, DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
Thanks to everyone here who has contributed to my dilemma and a special thanks to the Godfather of Harley audio--UltraNutz. And a special thanks to Sanman4ever for giving me alot of advice when I originally bought my SG 2 years ago and for recently texting me pictures of his Sony system which convinced me to purchase the same.
