Best way to put an Ipod on a harley
Have a few ?'s here.I have `12 FLTRU and started checking into different
ways to listen to my ipod.Is the Harley ipod modual worth getting?Seems expensive for getting handlebar control and charging.Does this method sound better?I like the idea of just leaving it in the saddlebag.Should I just use my charging cord and plug it into the aux on the front of the stereo?
Thanks for any input, pro's and con's.

Honestly in my opinion the HD iPod interface is the best out there for full integration. I have it and swear by it. There are others that sell their own but sub par and I have not heard good things about them. The aux solution is the cheapest but then u have to have to find a way to charge the iPod. If you use your iPod as much as me I say get the interface. good luck.

+1 on the HDPD2 from Iron Cross. A lot less expensive than the Harley branded and works the same. Handlebar controls, charging and out of the elements. Can also see the songs and playlists on the Head Unit. The only negative for me is that you can't easily select a song or artist without scrolling through the whole list alphabetically, but with some creative playlists that problem was solved.

I have a Ram mount for my Iphone when I use it for tunes and satnav when away: phone in waterproof hard case with ports for charger and 3.5 cable to aux in.
Around here I have a ipod shuffle on my clutch mount using a little square of Velcro - battery lasts for days, 3.5 cable into aux in. I can reach the controls with a finger without taking my hands off the bars. Cheap, too!
