i have smoked some sets of polks
they are VERY unreliable these days

Biketronics if you have the cash

I may try a set of Pioneer TSD1602R 6.5

I agree. It's amazing how they sound so good while handling the power but next thing you know...... She gone!!

It's kind of funny, because I scored a set of Kicker CS674, installed them yesterday, and I believe they sound better and more clear than the polks did.

At $68.00 a set, I'd be less upset about frying them too. LOL

LMAO!! This is the same thing I did after going through 3 sets of MM651's and I have to agree with mduncan. . .The Kickers sound better and are cheaper. mduncan if you think one set sounds good . . .Try sticking them in the upper, lowers and pods on top of a pair of Kicker KS series in the Lids. . . .Holy ****!!! Audio Heaven!!! You gotta hear it to believe it! And here's the KICKER (Pun intended) They don't fry.

Yeah, I'm toying with adding lowers. I have Rockfords in the pods, I'm happy with them also. I'd add some to the lids, but we normally have them packed full, and I hate to give up the space.

i had a pair of kickers in my hands at best buy one day and thought to myself ...just keep saving money for biketronics..

now i may try pioneers

so many decisions

One thing about forking over the cheese to buy the biketronics is you know your paying for your last set of speakers.
