That's a sobering thought? What gauge speaker wires are you using?

I never knew Kutter Harley dealt in Biketronics products, but they do. Not a bad priced shipped. You could try calling them.

That is a good price, thanks pioneer. I will give them a call and see if they are in stock or atleast get someone else to price match them.

Sucks to be hearing about the problems folks are having with the Polks. Been running 4 of them for over 10,000 miles with no problems, and love the way they sound. If they ever do go out though, will be looking at the BT's even though they cost a bit more.

Since reading this topic I have contacted Sonic Electronics to ask about the MM651 and the issues seen. I purchased my MM651 off of Amazon US (Sonic Electronics Amazon site and not their website).

I read UltraNutz post on Polk forums and he said the serial numbers in the 3000 and 4000 had no problems but the 5000 had problems.

I asked the bike builder to get the serial number from them and he gave me a number of AA265446926 which was printed on a Sticker on one line and MM651 on the next line. This is the same on both speakers so I take it these are not the serial numbers. Not sure where to find the serial number.

anyone have a clue?

The last 4 are your serial number. So you have a 6926

Another set to add to the list. Junk. Had them for 2-3 months before they went south.
