Default BOOM speakers

Upgrading to the BOOM speakers on the new 2014 SGS. Will I need a dealer "flash" or any adjustment for the head unit? No amp.

Default Don't do it!!!

I would recommend you doing research on other options. I did and went with Biketronics 7.1 speakers and their 4120 amp along with rear speaker pods and a new Sony head. Sound is awesome. No distortion at high volume at all. Couldn't have made a better choice. Install was simple as we'll.

Good luck with your project.

To answer your question, NO, they are plug N Play...I went from stock to Hogtunes which are INO about the same as BOOM and it is an upgrade, sounds better and crisper going down the interstate. Works fine for me.

You should make sure the flash in your stereo is up to date though. Google "Harley Davidson Flash Update". Then follow instructions on how to download and install flash. Dealer is not required to do this though.

Cheers,
Chris
