Just installed the PBR3x2 and Infinity K 62.11's
Well after reading all the posts on here about the amp and the many, many post about speakers, I went ahead and got the:
PBR300x2
Infinity Kapa 62.11 speakers
Got it all installed (thanks to UN and GP and all the other that posted instructions) did have to modify it a little since I did not get the component setup. Otherwise instructions were great.
Ended up wiring up the speakers for (2) Ohm, according to the build sheet on the amp its says:
187 x 2 @ 2ohm (is this how I wired it)?
122 x 2 @ 4ohm
This is how I wired it:
Amp:
R+ went to plus on both speakers
R- went to minus on both speakers
L+ (empty)
L - (empty)
Hope thats right?
Set the gains and it sounds good but wont really know til I hit the road and check it out at 80 or so…
When turning on and off the bike I noticed that I am getting a delayed thump sound coming from the speakers (is this normal)? Should I be concerned?
Thanks all,
VB

The ohm rating of the speaker is not something you can change by changing up the wiring. Typically when bridge ing a amp it is the pos of one channel and the neg of the other channel. This can only be done on amps that will allow it, not all amps are bridgeable. Sounds to me like you just wired up both speakers to one channel which means your only using half of your amps power!

Ok thanks all I will rewire per:
R+ to right speaker +
R- to right speaker -
L+ to left speaker +
L- to left speaker -
With this setup will I be running 2 channels?
Sorry for all the noob questions I am not very good at audio stuff.
As for the remote wire I am not using one for the amp and I am not running RCA connections I followed the instructions posted on the site for wiring up and it said to cut off the RCAs so I guess that would be hi level inputs
