You don't cut the inputs on your radio. You cut the RCA inputs on the amp harness. The instructions with the amp will cover the color of the wires and the polarity to hook to the speaker outputs on your head unit.

i meant i cut the output rca jacks on the radio then how do the wires from the radio hook up to the amp
I'm not familiar with the Sony HU, but you should be able to either connect the RF harness from the RCA outputs on the Sony to the RF amp, or connect the speaker level outputs from the Sony to the RF amp (assuming the Sony has them like the stock Harley HK HU). The RCA outputs should give you better fidelity I would think.
Mine has 4v or 6v. I tried the RCA's and don't have any power to the amp. Do you have to have the speakers hooked up to get the power to show up at the amp?

If you use the RCA level inputs you will have to run a remote turn on wire to the amp to turn it on. There is an orange wire in your headlight bundle that isn't connected to anything. You can use that.
If you use high level inputs, you do NOT hook up the remote on wire.

With my ss4.520d I'm using high lvl inputs and running the rem wire. I assume what you are saying is for the pbr only?
