Default Speakers cuts out

I know most people frown on Harley's stereo upgrade but I received the boom audio upgrade free which included fairing amp and 6 1/2 speakers. I have not ridden bike since upgrade only listen to stereo in garage, the right speaker at low volume cuts in and out at low volume but works ok at half volume. Does this sound like a speaker issue or something else. The bike is 2014 SGS. Thanks for any input.
