There are more people running Polks just fine than there are reporting problems. I suspect most problems are the result of improper settings on the amp. Have also seen several posts where people are reporting similar issues with other popular brand speakers, so anything can fail if not properly installed and set-up. I'm sure some people may take offense to that thought, but that's my opinion.

There are definitely better options, but you WILL pay for them. I have a buddy with almost 2 grand invested in his system and mine still sounds as good if not better for a fraction of the cost.

Also, Eastern Performance for a few dollars cheaper..
That's not bad for a plug and play kit.

If you are just looking for a little more sound, I think this could be the way to go.

Just make sure you buy it from an authorized retailer or Pez will not honor the warranty.

You guys are killing me here. I had talked myself out of buying speakers and an amp until later, then you posted the plug n play big ultra kit for that low price. I ended up getting it through Amazon, but selected the purchase from Eastern Performance, because I had a gift card for Amazon. Otherwise I would have bought it straight from the Eastern Performance site.

I was looking for potential Christmas gifts for my wife to get me and was thinking about the Hog Tunes 7" lowers kit, to enhance the big ultra kit. My issue is that I want to buy it all from Eastern, but cannot find the Hog Tunes mounting kit for the second amp. Maybe the world is trying to tell me to save my money for now.

Like Wayne said, I don't know if EP offers a forum discount, not that their pricing needs it, but I will be getting the rest of the pieces from them once all the stars align again.

I'd go with the Soundstream 4.520 and Biketronics BT7P1's in the fairing and the Biketronics Titan II's in the rear. The BT speakers aren't the cheapest option but are the best sounding speakers out there IMO. They come with a lifetime guaranty and adapters, so if you take that into account, it's a pretty good deal. You could always update the rears at a later date.

I don't know why I always forget that. Go with Polk MM651's in the rear.

Lol. The thread is going the same direction my mind went with my RGU. Went something like this..."honey .. I'm going to look for some better speakers for the bike. Shouldn't be more than $100 or so". And then, $2000 later I'm explaining why I need a 2nd mortgage for still better sound!!
