And here in Colorado as well. For them it means time to zip the jacket up. For us, it means having to shovel through several feet of snow just to go looks at our bikes! Too funny!!

LOL, I grew up in Michigan and was stationed in Colorado so I KNOW winter~!!!! and trust me, I love riding down here in the winter time versus riding in the summer time, my GOD it is hot out in the summer but I love it that I can both ride and black water dive all year around~!!!!

Just wanted to say thanks everyone. I got the lower fairing speakers added minus the grills since they have not come in yet and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!! this system is loud!

I have Hertz EBZ 6.5s in the both the upper and lower fairings with the RF amp and I heard it loud and clear at 80 mph this morning on the hiway.

I will get pics posted soon.

Did you stay with the Rockford amp? Did you color match the pods? We need pics!

Yea
How is that RF 300x2 holding up?
I wonder if that ends up bring the amp power down to a manageable level by paralleling 2- 4 ohm sets?

Those little amps have alot of power

Has anyone tried running the Punch @ a 1-Ohm load ( parallel the fronts to the left channel and same for the rears off the right channel) My fronts are the new Rokker XT-7 1/4 2-Ohm, the Rears are still the stock Harley's also 2-Ohm for now. What will give me the best return for my Investment Bagger Lid upgrade or new speakers for the rear pods ?

if you like replacing components, go for it otherwise I highly suggest you don't.

John has repeatedly said on this forum that the PBR amps are more power than those speakers are happy with.

If you wire a PBR amp to stock speakers, you'll make for a short life of those speakers without a doubt.

No question, lids. You have more options for speakers in the 6x9 arena.

That pbr amp is not going to like the 1 ohm load either.

best lids for the money i think are the hogtunes lids with pioneer ts-d6902R 6x9s

lids are $295 on eBay
speakers are $80 tops just about anywhere
then you figure another $150 for painting a "normal" color

not a bad investment

the hogtunes allow ANY 6x9 to be used. if you go the CVO route, you have to buy the lids, then buy the grills, then buy the screws, then if you want 6x9s, you'll have to buy the biketronics bt479 kit which is another $400+
