MontyCop05 is right that you can toast just about any speaker with this amp. My gains are set very low and the speakers sound great. I only get a little distortion with the last 2 bars on the volume meter. The amp at savinglots.com is $110 plus $25 shipping but I bought mine on Amazon with free shipping for $110. There are several people to choose from on Amazon selling at this price and I went with DiscountCenterOnline because of their great buyer feedback. Quality product and I've only lost my radio reception from 107.xx up and going to put a couple ferrite cores in to eliminate that problem. Good luck.

Glad to know the SS is available on amazon now as well. When I bought mine none were available. If I had a choice I'd go with amazon also. If not only to save on the shipping but for the stellar return policy as well.

And Guenther, might want to reach out to UltraNutz on the ferrite cores. I think that was determined to be a futile effort after many attempts. Don't want to see you waste the time and money for naught.

Ferrite cores didn't help my FM interference at all. Lost every station except for 2 very local ones, and even those are hard to listen to.

as long as you don't care about FM reception, by all means..

also, are you still running those J&M speakers? if so, you'll want to be easy on those gain controls.
