I have the powered version of the Flexpower antenna and it's the only in-fairing antenna that I've come across that actually works worth a s**t. Pricey though! The new version looks interesting. Does it work as well as the powered version?

Yes ,,,, that is why we decided to no longer offer the powered version ,,,,,,,,

we have played around quite a bit with this over the years, and we have realized that a passive antenna like this can actually be tuned, and the proper coax center core to ground relationship also makes a significant difference in performance ,,,,,,,,

and when I say that this is THE BEST in-fairing antenna on the market, for all three bands of AM/FM & WB, I don't just say that to sell the things, I am saying that because our R&D shop guys and I have TESTED just about every other in-fairing antenna out there ,,,,,,,,

NOTHING we have tried works as well as the J&M FLEXPOWER antenna ,,,,,,

I believe my amp ground cable was run right next to my stock antenna wire. If I install this in-fairing antenna, will the interference I am hearing from my engine running and turn signals be eliminated?

that might depend upon what is actually causing the noise,,,,,,,

I would unplug the rear antenna right at the radio, and plug-in the J&M FLEXPOWER and start the engine to know for sure ,,,,,,,,

one of the best testing methods for determining a good in-fairing antenna is how well it picks up WEATHER band, as this is an AM band and is more difficult to receive well with an in-fairing antenna ,,,,
