Default 2001 Classic to Ultra stereo

I have a cassette deck Radio Sound headunit in my '01 EGC, and I'm wanting to add rear speaker pods to the tourpak. Since the stock radio is 2 speakers only, I'm thinking of picking up a used RS cd head unit out of an ultra of the same vintage (pn 76146-04). I have some questions about this plan:

The ultras did not have external amps for the rear speakers did they? As far as the wiring diagram in my service manual shows, the rear speakers were run off of the internal amp in the head unit through the ultra harness connector, and the standard faring speakers through the regular 23-pin connector, correct?
that is correct sir. Should be pins 1,2,24,25 on the 35 pin connector for the rear speakers

it will be the same as the front

Anything else beyond fabbing a harness for the rears that I should be aware of in doing this?
you pretty much have it covered with your thought process.
